Any idea what my new babies are?

EEs generally are friendly. Some might be a little flighty, but for the most part, especially if you hold them and bond with them, they are really nice. Three of my favorites are EEs and they love coming to the front door to ask for treats and sit on my lap. You will have fun with these. I just picked up two myself, because they are just so great.

I love my EE. They are the friendliest that I have (3 wks now) Marge (my avatar) jumps on my hand whenever I put it in the brooder. She fell asleep on my 4 year olds lap.

Yep! I have a 5-yr old girl and a 9-yr old boy that love chickens! We just bought our farm in January and we are all amazed ( my husband a little less so!) by how much we are loving chickens. We have almost 50 now. It's honestly time to stop for a while!

Mine all looked dark/chipmunk as babies, and they all look different now! Here is "Hawk" at 2 weeks old:

WIth my last group I moved outside I had 4 chipmunks. One turned out a very dark partridge, two with a medium coloring and one pale. It is like a mixing pot and not knowing what you will get. I love the fun of watching them develop.

Wow! Gorgeous birds, everyone! I'm fairly new to chickens and have been amazed at the details and beauty of them. Each one is different. I can't wait to see the babies grow up. I have one little EE with a white face and brown body. She's definitely my favorite!
