A few months ago a coyote ravaged our poor chickens. Totally my fault, we live in Phoenix in a pretty urban area and I didn’t lock their pen up that night assuming they would be okay. They were not. Only 2 of 6 chickens survived, my silky and a muran. It took a few months but I’ve finally bought some new chicks. I have 2 Brahmas, 2 Orpington and this guy/girl. I had picked up 2 straight run bantams 5 weeks ago with my orpingtons. One bantam died and this one survived and is doing great, except it is TINY and skittish. My 2 Brahmas are 2 weeks younger and getting bigger than him/her already. I like to let them out during the day but this guy is so tiny I worry even cats could get it.. any idea what it is? I’m hoping it gets bigger, it’s like 220g now but heavy/solid build, absolutely beautiful but so darn small.

Yes I think you’re right. His/her color is a bit of, so light on the head, but I think your right. Looking online the photos of chicks match what it looked like when we got it. Do you think its a hen or roo? At 5 weeks it’s starting to show a pretty dark waddle, hoping it’s a hen. We can’t keep Roos in my area.
