So I soaked her last night for about 10 mins up until she decided to poop in the bowl.. unfortunately I don’t have a duck boot so I had to tape some paper towel on but no matter how I taped it she was still able to rip it off. I also don’t have any neosporin I only have polysporin without pain relief. My husband is going into town today to see if he can find any. However when we tried to remove the kernel it was soft and hard to remove and when I was googling I saw that it’s supposed to have a cottage cheese type puss that we never found in her foot instead the kernel just showed a hole into the bubble like thing and it appears emptyBumblefoot. Its not bad though. Soak in epsom salts and try to remove that scab called a kernel. Pack with neosporin without pain relief and wrap it. If you can't remove the scab right away, wrap is with neosporin and try soaking and removing it the next day. Keep the duck in a dry clean area and continue to treat everyday. If left untreated bumblefoot can get very bad, I am still struggling with an awful case in my duck. Good luck and keep me posted on how your bird does!
OK. You can use guaze and vet wrap and human medical tape. If its empty inside I've heard thats good. Just keep packing it with neosporin and wrapping it. Keep us posted? She’s sad that she is being kept seperate ( mostly because she’s also got a small prolapse that I don’t want my drake to mess up more) but she’s also fairly used to having stuff taped to her foot, hatched with a “gibbled foot” if you’ve ever heard of goose the duck, and then she got a cut on the top of the same foot And now this Bumblefoot. So she’s had her share of taped foot so she’s ok just not thrilledOK. You can use guaze and vet wrap and human medical tape. If its empty inside I've heard thats good. I’ve dealt with a prolapse before, she’s already got that dealt with so that’s all good, thanks for the recommendation for the bumblefootWhat are you doing for the prolapse hopefully keeping it moist so it doesn't dry out.
If you can get some drawing salve and put on the bumble and then wrap that may be enough there have been members just recently that have had good outcomes with using the drawing salve.
