Hi im on my 5th cortex hatching for the year. Its been great fun seeing the little guys go from hatch to full grown, but i do not have much room inside the house and the kids would like their room back....

the only building i have access to out side is a metal shed that gets ten or more hotter than the outside temp... the cool weather for the last couple weeks gave me hope, and or course as soon as i have a hatch the temps go back up... the other day it was in the 90's, and over 110 in the bulding..

i am hoping some one has ideas for a self contained brooder that would work outdoors. thanks steve e

I use a converted rabbit hutch. Enclosed all four sides with plywood, installed a light at one end on the lift up roof of hutch. Once feathered out I removed one panel of wood to let natural light in.
