Hi everyone!
I'm brand new here and care for a small flock of hens. I recently adopted a couple of young chickens (8-12 weeks?) from a high school lab project that was cancelled as soon as the teacher realized he had to find homes for two dozen day olds. They were purchased as day old chicks and were all identical, so they must be some breed, but I have no idea what they are.
They weigh about one pound each and I'm pretty sure they are females.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! I'm just curious to find out if they are an egg or a meat breed or a combo of some sort.
Many thanks for your wisdom! I'm not sure how to load a pic so will give this a try.
