After building our first chicken coop and way over thinking things I wld really like to move our coop in the yard to a better place. Yes I know that shld have been thought out before built!!! Now we are trying to figure out if this is possible without damaging the coop?! We need to get the run up in next 2 weeks because the babies are 3 weeks! As every project goes much more time and money invested than thought. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

where there is a will, there is a way. i have amish for neighbors and i have seen them do it ! the old fashion way, logs under the building and roll.

I looked into this - I have a nice coop over at my barn that I wanted to move closer to the house. Depending on how it's built, if you can find someone with a big farm tractor that has a fork attachment on the front, you can try to move it that way. I would put some big heavy straps around it (with those ratchet things to really tighten it) before I moved it, just to keep things from pulling apart.

I ended up not moving it - yet. If I keep up with chicken math I may have to.

Good luck!
