Hi! I'm moving 3 hours away and trying to figure out how to bring my omlet coop with run and 5 chickens. Has anyone moved a coop like this before? Van? Trailer? Did it hold up?

I just moved mine this summer, 9 hours away. I rented the largest size u haul and was able to get all my stuff and the coop with the run partially disassembled.
Before we packed the truck I marked off the space for the coop with painter's tape.
You'll have to look at how the run is assembled. I started to take the whole thing off, but it isn't square to the coop if that makes sense. Some of the run stayed attached. For the skirting on the run I left it attached to the run, but un clipped the sides from each other, this allowed the skirting to fold up vertical and fit between the wheel wells.
It took at least 3 people to get the coop on and off the truck. I had to stay in an air bnb for about a month while I closed on my house. Because I have the wheels for my omlet a friend and I were able to wheel it on to her ATV trailer to move from the air bnb to my house. That was much easier because it had a ramp. I don't think I would have wanted to move the coop in an open trailer like that on the highway. All the jiggling rattled stuff loose. I was able to collect what came off in the uhaul. If it had been an open trailer I would have lost a lot of clips.

Thank you so much! This was very helpful!!!!!! How did you transport the chickens? I have 5.
