Any ideas on modifying my feeder for my rooster to access it better?

Thanks for the recommendation. I guess it would be a lot easier to get a separate feeder so I actually found the exact feeder and it was very affordable and the roosters are very happy! Thanks! I posted some photos on a different comment if you’d like to see .

We built a different PVC no waste feeder. You can read about our original and the improvement in our coop article. A picture is attached. The base I think would accommodate a chicken with a large comb.

Hi. I know this a pretty old post, but I found it while looking around for a feeder for my rooster with a really large (pretty) comb. Can you post photos of what you used and if you made it yourself…how you did it? I have been using a 7lb feeder for him, which works fine, but it is just too big for him…I never fill it…and was hoping to find something that only holds about 3 or 4 lbs so I can change the food more often and have something smaller to carry to the pens. Thanks!
