He's a few years old..hackles and wings have gotten a little darker as he aged. I've gotten babies out of him that looked like everything from a RIR to an Americauna. .but really the most curious to see if anyone has ideas on what type/breed/color hen to put him over for the best odds at getting a baby colored like him..I've hatched out a lot of his babies but none had his coloring. I've put him over EEs,RIR and just about every color of mixed layers..
I have several hens to choose from (hes not mine, but a neighbors)..she has 3 bearded hens with im and then a variety of other breeds as well..The 3 bearded are a buff color with black tips on their tails..I tried to upload a pic of some of the girls but couldn't get it to load..The hens I have of breeding age out of him are blue/grey and look like what I have seen posted as Ameracaunas(think I spelled that right??) I know I have pics of them, and their first eggs are in the bator now
