all of my hens ran up to me last night looking perfectly healthy. A few moment later one was doing some sort of tail dropping, squatting motion. She then just set there. when I approached her she stood up but immediately did the tail drop thing again. Anyway, she was dead this morning. No outward signs of being sick before the peculiar actions the night before. She was nice and fat, laying eggs regularly.

Anyone experience this tail dropping action?

thanks ahead of time

Sorry for your loss. :( Did you/can you check for egg bound? Get necropsy to check for ascites?

I didn't do anything. it was just before time to put them up for the night and had been a long day. intended to look at her in the morning. She was find one moment and not the next, never thought she would be dead by morning.
