I would give it to a nursing home. I know from exprience that the old folks dont often get decent soaps. Family forgets, they cant afford it, and th nursing homes usually buy the cheapst junk they can find, ours had one type of soap. It was supposed to be for the whole body including their hair. Wasnt very good stuff.

All of these ideas are very good! I agree, the nursing homes are in bad need of this stuff, at least I know the ones around here are. You gotta watch it, though, workers in the nursing home have been guilty of stealing the good stuff. It's a sad thing, but it happens. Also, alot of people have been sending more cereal bars and the like in the care packages(edit: care packages to the soldiers) according to my family that's over there, and the hygiene products are fewer and fewer.

Thats why if you are donating stuff like this you can go and give it to th people personally. Then their name gets put on it, and you give them even more joy by personally showing that you care about them.

We have done this before, and we brought along a tame chicken and our dog to visit. They loved it. Especiallu the chicken since these people lived in a time whn owning a chicken was almost essential. You will feel great to for doing this. it is very rewarding.

most of our military men have taken to shaving their heads due to the water shortage, only 3 min showers, but they still need soap, deodorant, body powder(Esp med) and things like that, When i saw my son's shaved head I almost fainted, and when i e mailed him he said it was due to the water shortage, and after all when he came home it would grow back out. Also to our military care packages mean that the people back home haven't forgotten them.and you can send a shoebox full for $7.00. So many people don't support the war, but we can show them that we support them. sorry long rant, i have a son in middle east and a grandson be there shortly.
