A couple of my black minorcas hatched with black combs. They stayed black until 8 weeks or so, when the comb started growing. They still have black tips on them, at almost 6 months old.

Well then.. all black, doesn't appear to be a heavy breed... yellow pads, straight/single comb? hmm..is it bantam or large fowl?
