Noticed my welsummer limping yesterday. It seems to hurt her to put weight on it. I washed it off, and can find no black spot or any sign of injury. Her bottom pad on the injured foot is slightly swollen. Her injured foot/leg has lost all it's pink coloring and is green in areas. Bumble foot? Infection? Injury and it's bruising? She can bend all her toes. Nothing I did seemed to hurt her more. She roosted fine last night and had her foot around the roost. She's eating and acting fine besides limping and holding her leg up.

Green usually indicates bruising or sprain so I would guess she has jumped down onto a hard raised object and injured it. I would give it a daily soak in a warm Epsom salts footbath and perhaps a scrub with an old toothbrush to stimulate blood flow to help the damaged tissue to heal. Dry thoroughly afterwards if you are having frosty conditions.
