Just wondering if anyone knows what this one is. It's probably about four months old and massive. I know for sure that it isn't a leghorn. It was bought at tractor supply. I'm also wondering if it's a cockerel or a pullet? I'm thinking cockerel but it doesn't act like one.

Breed: I would guess that that is a White Plymouth Rock. White rocks are not very common in feed stores but your chicken definitely looks like one. It is not a Chantecler unless it is a mix. (Chanteclers have cushion combs and not single combs... your chicken has a single comb).

Gender: It definitely looks like a cockerel (young roo). I have never seen a set of wattles and comb so developed on a pullet. The tail feathers also have that 'free flowing' manner that only rooster tail feathers have. He also has sturdy, thick leg bones; another characteristic in roosters. Here is a photo of cookie, a barred Plymouth rock (a different color variety of the breed that yours appears to be) at about one year of age.

I hope this helps! :)
