update on flower- the tuft on her head I do want to say Swedish flower hen? He had them and the egg was appropriate for one. What do you all think?

That's a little dark for a Swedish Flower. I'm still thinking Welsummer.

She is really dark- do Welsummer chicks fly, my brooders deep and she can fly right out when I open it, from the base. And what do you make of the tufty thing on their heads?

And they've got different color legs, Uno has yellower and flower has more a pink color

Totally over looked the tuft. Maybe it's some genetically darker Crested Legbar.

I would say legbar too but I hatched them - Uno came out of a large cream colored egg with some brown speckles and flower from a fairly small cream colored egg. They were our first to hatch out , Uno was a day early. Flower is so up in your face - they're in with a bunch of chicks - we are building up our flock and wanted some diversity - they're a riot but we don't hold them much and flower is the only one who comes over and will literally fly at your face... I'm assuming something not skiddish. And with the legs I think maybe 2 different breeds... Legbars lay a very blue egg I think right?

I got them from a guy who has a bunch of pens and he tosses the hens in with the roosters in the right pens in theory in the evenings but I assume there are occasional oops chicks. We ended up with 6 chicks from him, 2 cukoo marans, 1 Olive egger, 1 brahma & these 2. He said he has those breeds and rocks, rirs & Swedish flower hens that hes really into breeding and then a ton of other breeds and I asked for a few and didn't know what these 2 were at all. The eggs were really healthy and all hatched that developed even having been shipped. And the chicks have been very hearty and active so whatever they are we really like them. But yea the little tufts are funny. I'm gonna have to keep am eye on them. Also I'm not thinking they're the same breed because they have different legs. I keep trying to compare them to our other chicks lol. I have a bunch of different ones in there. I don't know any hen that lays an egg like UNOs accept maybe a Welsummer though. Crazy lol, we will get to the bottom of this yet.
