Hey all, first time posting & first time chicken momma to be. We currently have 31 eggs in our incubator (little giant 9300) on day 5/6 - eggs entered on Friday May 1st around 5pm. Just looking for any kind of feedback to help with hatch rates. We have an automatic turner, been rotating 180 degrees every other day & am beginning to rotate egg spots. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated !

The most important thing is to have at least one calibrated thermometer in your incubator.

I keep four to six calibrated thermometers in my incubator at all times.

I should add another. We do have one in that just came in, it essentially showed that the temp was accurate (off by a degree on the outer sides) but accurate in the middle. We upped the temp to 100.5 so all of the eggs will be at 99.

How do you know that thermometer is reading correctly?
Did you calibrate it?
