We have a flock of about 50 chickens, 9 ducks, and a turkey. We haven't been able to find much info on PT testing in Texas, so any advice would be wonderful.

Do they have to be PT tested?
How much does PT testing cost in Texas?
What are the rules?
Do we have to keep renewing it?
How does it work?
Is it done to every bird?

PS. We live in East Texas.

PT tested is required if you want to sell birds or hatching eggs.
It depends on how much the tester wants to charge...there is no set price.
Testing is done once a year.
Brb with a direct link to our state's info.

I bought chicks from a woman who actually does PT testing in my county. She stated you don’t have to test if you only sell chickens from your property (i.e. you don’t meet at walmart and sell in a parking lot, but they actually come to your house to pick up). I have not confirmed this with recorded Texas laws.

Selling is selling. I do not believe it makes a difference on location.
