Any interest in a freeze-proof off grid chicken waterer?

Hi all,

I live in N. Idaho and we are off grid. I currently run off solar, wood stove and generators. I am designing a waterer that will not freeze for 8hrs minimum. I am at the point of going to the machine shop to make some prototypes. I am making this for myself but wanted to know if there is any interest other than me?

If there is a lot of interest I could create a kickstarter campaign and run with it.

The concept will be this:

Cheap (the price of a heated dog bowl or less)
Works for 8 hrs at -5f
Freeze-proof nipples
Insulated source (water)
Self contained
Self heating
Small footprint
Sturdy
Reliable

I'm hoping to sell the whole thing for folks with money and the parts for those who are as cheap as I am. I am also hoping to have a few extra prototypes for some forum testers to give the final OK.

Any interest?

Hi

Are these pictures of your home ? They are just beautiful. It looks like a beautiful painting . I bet Christmas cards would fly off the shelf.

I am in Indiana and keep seramas . This will be their first winter and I have no electric in their coop. I have been wondering/hoping to come up with a plan for them before the start of old man winter. No luck so far except running a 150ft. extension cord out there.

I hope that your Idea/plan works out for you. If it does I would think people will be standing in line. Good luck
