Silly me didn't know there were chickens called Javas. I thought you were talking about coffee. Love coffee and do love your chicken pics. They are beautiful!

There is a long thread somewhere on here about Javas.

This is my first year with them. I have a few girls growing up. So far at 9 weeks old they do not seem too thrifty but I am now letting them free range some or go into pens with other chicks. I have them in 3 different places to see how they will do but only one is looking anywhere near healthy. The other 5 are pale and not very plump.

If they survive then they will be in my free range egg laying flock for added color and personality.
