Any Muscovy fans out there?

I like my pair,, had a trio till a neighbor's dog invaded.

But my last gal is sitting on 6 eggs in the garage, so I'm hoping I'll have ducklings sometime in June!

I have Muscovies and they are great for controlling flies, mosquitoes and lots of other flying and crawling thingies.
No offense intended to the previous poster who leaves their Muscovies out at night...but....I think its very important to mention that they are not invulnerable to predators because they can roost in trees or other high places. Coons are skillful climbers. Owls are also a threat. I had 2 large drakes that didn't get closed in one night. The very next morning one was gone, never to return and we found the other one with its head and neck chewed off and missing.
While people may say they haven't suffered any loses I can guarantee you they will sooner or later.

My neighbor has them, and he just got some more ducklings. I don't know why he kept the female he has now and got rid of the other one. The one he got rid of actually sat on eggs and she looked alot like yours really pretty the one he has now lays them and ignores them and she's just a plain white which is pretty but I don't think as pretty as the colors though she does have these really bright blue eyes so we named her Azula like blue is spanish but with a A on the end to sound more girly.

We love ours. We still have the original pair we started out with 11 years ago. I can't even say how many they have hatched and raised out over the years. The drake is retired now - he is so old he doesn't even have a tail anymore, he just takes it easy. The hen still sits and raises ducklings. She waits until another hen is close to hatching and moves in and takes over half the nest.
