Any musicians around?

Anyway, I found my Shakuhachi. Heres a picture. I actually need to start making another one. This one is slightly out of tune.

Hey there! I play shak too. Not in a traditional sense. Although i study traditional styles of Shakuhachi and hope someday to be able to do it. I use a looper and play over chord progressions I lay down on guitar. Here’s a pic of my shaks and a couple Native American flutes. The other pic is of some of my other play things! Chickens, gardens, art and music, what else ya need right?

I've been doing piano since I was little and I really like it. A couple years back I started doing erhu. I would also like to try learning another musical instrument... maybe guitar? who knows.

UNBELIEVABLE! Another Shakuhachi player!

How the heck do you get your bamboo with the root ends?

These were made by a friend/ band mate who has a stand of bamboo in his yard, they are pretty close but have a few minor tuning issues. One of them in the photo is a resin flute that is perfectly tuned and thats what i study with. It has an ok sound but not like bamboo. I’ve been looking for a vintage flute for sometime But they are not easy to come by and good ones are so very expensive.

Hi everyone, I know I haven’t posted here in a long time, but now I have a musical problem and I would like some input.

My Evette clarinet mouthpiece just broke. I can’t find the piece that broke off, but I’m wondering if it’s fixable or if I need a new one. Any thoughts?

I decided to see if there are any other musicians here.

I play many instruments. Ocarina, Harmonica, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Erhu, Clarinet, Shakuhachi, and Organ.

In fact, on the Organ, I am learning the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach. Here is my progress so far.

So, any other musicians here?
you play the ocarina, so do I, I have learned my first song.
Have any tips and tricks.

I have a 12 hole alto c also! What a coincidence!

here’s what I would do, get yourself a fingering chart off the internet, learn the fingering for each note, then practice simple songs.

I started by playing songs from the game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
