Hubby had a CB for his Jeep and sold it with the Jeep. Nothing but static now. Makes me wonder if all truckers use their lines of communications via cellphones or satellite tracking.

Channels 6,11,22,26 and 28 are the big AM skip channels. If you have a single side band (SSB) radio then 38LSB is the dx channel.

Just this morning skip was rolling on 11 meter, (cb band) I was talking into the Carolinas, Ms. Tn. and the the propagation changed and started working stations in Oregon, Wa. and Calif.
I talk on 28.

Please do not operate a HAM radio without a license it's against the law.
It's tooo easy to get your license and NOW you don't even need to learn Morse Code! You can buy a book that gives all the questions and answers, study a few days, then find a HAM club that gives the test, and you're in like flint!!!
