Any one else having egg eating problems??

My girls have been eating eggs like nuts!!

I was close to crying i was so angry. But today I blew out 4 eggs and filled them with hot sauce and blocked each end with wax. Put them in the nests and came back later to find one fully broken open with the hot sauce spilled out, and the other just cracked slightly! Hopefully this will end the cyle of egg breaking! I have also put rocks that look like eggs in the nests

I saw a post from someone that filling a egg with Mustard also works to stop them from the habit. Good Luck.

I put wooden eggs in the nest boxes.. and try to collect the eggs 3 times a day.. seems to discourage the breaking of eggs..

I have been collecting the eggs at least 5 times a day... I am mostly outside so I just check them very often.

K smith that is good but by putting the wooden eggs it discourages the chicken at trying to peck at the other eggs..
