Any one good at Punnett Squares?(for hamsters)

And this:

Blonde Sgsgpp, Lglgpp Creamy blonde (light grey blondes have an orange muzzle

I'm taking this from the genotype, so maybe this is wrong....

I just looked at another list of genetic symbols for colors...

So there's Dominant spotting and just 'spotting?' Do you know what the difference is? Dominant Spotting is dominant (you know, I should have realized it was dominant just from the name

) and spotting is recessive (at least, the symbol is lower case, so I'm assuming it is).

She doesnt have the right coloring to be a Silver black.
Blonde is Silver Grey bred to a Cinnamon. They have red eyes, mine has black.

Dominant Spotting lightens the fur around it, the coloring blends in more. Spotting is just spots on the fur.

Hamsters are so much harder then mice and rabbits

Silvergray is a very dominant gene. You will likely see it in every baby. As you already know, it can manifest itself as silvergray, or it can combine with another color (silver black, or dingy black, for example). Since you have a dove, you are dealing with black and with cinnamon. With the silvergray, you are likely only dealing with silvergray genes being passed on from that parent unless it carries cream, which is easily hidden. More than likely, you will end up with silvergrays, silver blacks, and possibly blondes. Blonde is absolutely beautiful. I have only been lucky enough to produce two of them. Silvergray is a fun gene, but it can also make identifying colors a real challenge when they start to combine. Hold on to your silvergray genes. There are not many of us out there with them, it seems, although that is quite odd since it is such a dominant gene. As far as I know, there are only three of us in the southeast actively working with it, and all of our animals are derived from one ivory that was brought down from Dave at Chesapeake up in MD. Who did your stock come from? I'm excited to see another hamster person on here!

Mine came from a local lady who had been breeding them on and off for a few years. She said they got to be to much for her, so I took her last pair, the Silver Grey female and the dove male.
I've been breeding mice for awhile and wanted to try hamsters as well, but their genetics is so much harder to learn it seems.

I meant, maybe that's what you'll get from your breeding.

Alright, so what we have now is:

Male:
Fur color – genotype aapp
Coat length – genotype ll
Dominant spotting – genotype dsds

Female:
Fur color – genotype Sgsg OR SgSg
Coat length – genotype ++
Dominant spotting: Dsds

Is this correct?

That's fine. I do the same type of thing ALL THE TIME!
