Any One Put In There Seed Orders Yet?

I'm ordering mine tonight from Johnny Seeds. I'm getting a lot but a few things are:

Green beans
cucumbers
artichoke
brussel sprouts
garlic
onion
zucchini
squash
strawberries
watermelons
honeydew melons.....and a lot more!

Cant wait to get my garden area all ready, going to be plowing and adding my compost to it soon!!

SHH! Don't tell! I just ordered $70 worth of asparagus, strawberry, and rhubarb plants and just a few seeds.

I haven't even DONE the chick order yet. I told him I want chicks NOW, not in two months when the local shops say they'll have'em. So I says the minimum hatchery order is 25, but we only need 8. He really, truly said "well, go ahead, we'll have the extras for dinner" ! AAAHHH! what would you all do?

I'm in the same situation with my husband. We have 10 cockerels and he wants to eat all but 2.

I've never had to raise my dinner so I don't know what to do. I'm hoping the chicks grow on him and he won't want to eat them!!

I am just saying, because this sounds to me like chicken math, and we'll soon have a flock of two dozen birds in my suburban back yard. Extra birds mean more coops, which I'm barely getting the other one done for the planned new 6 or 8.

My seed order was so big last year I should be good for most everything this year. Just decided to put in perennial things in a good bed, but now we have to dig more beds to make up for that.

I havent, but i am pretty far north in NW WI. I will probably get them started the beginning of march.

I did already line up a guy to bring in some blackdirt mixed with cow manure though!

I have nearly 300 tomatoes and peppers started inside, already about 2-4 inches tall, and still am expecting more seeds to arrive and plant. I've got 24 varieties of tomatoes, 14 varieties of peppers.

I also have over 100 seeds I just planted a few days ago of lettuce, chard, eggplants, dill, chamomile, fennel, beets, and a couple other things.

Can't wait to start on the corn, squash, melons, and quinoa!!

Oooh ooo and I also have 3 pepper plants already almost a year old inside, they're already budding little flowers. I'm sooo excited for them.

Someone asked what Quinoa and Amaranth are for. They're an ancient grain, grown around Chile by the natives, packed with protein and minerals, way better than your average wheat and oats, plus they're a beautiful flowering plant to look at. They're very good for chickens, in fact a natural part of the diet for blue/green egglayers, even the copper in the seeds helps the egg color.

I absolutely love home grown vine ripe tomatoes but the last three years I have had nice plants but no maters I am guessing because it is so HOT here. I am not doing tomatoes this year : ( so eat a few extra for me ha ha!
