I think my family is about to start showing rabbits. I approached a local rabitry about maybe purchasing his show culls to raise as meat production. I also mentioned i may attempt showing for a fun activity with me and one (or all) of my daughters. he talked me out of the culls and tried to get me to go with the standard Rex he had a few good colored Rex rabbits and was selling all of them because he wanted to focus on the black otters and whites that he had. i noticed he had a breed of rabbit that i really liked but wasn't even looking for because from what i have read there aren't very many of,,,,,,the silver fox. I think they are very pretty rabbits and they have a good conversion rate, I guess my question is this is it hard to show rabbits? I know with dogs when i was showing it was a fairly in depth production with the grooming the training and every thing i ended up giving it up because i had no free time for anything but work and dogs. any way any points or tips for showing rabbits especially if you have any tips for showing silver fox im all ears and would greatly appreciate it. I am fairly excited about it because unlike showing dogs my whole family seems interested.....at least they are now before all the work begins lol.
