I have two of the small kiddie pools for my 4 ducks, Im hoping of getting more though, so I was thinking of getting one of those larger pools with the slides built in

Anyone use something besides a small kiddie pool? How does it work for draining and such?

Pictures are HIGHLY appriciated.

We dug a hole on Father's day last year and fit in a small pond. The pond came with a filter and fountain. We'd have to clean the filter every few days or so. We only have two Muscovies so our girls are pretty spoiled. It's pretty close to dark now but I can get you a pic tomorrow. Nothing special, but we had to buy it. (Actually, we got it free from a friend, but unless you know someone, yeah.)

I went to Menard's and bought 2 of those durable plastic mortar mixing tubs.. my geese and ducks use it daily. to empty it I just tip it over. hose it out and refill it..

my first tub is going on 4 years old

I even accidently backed over one of them with my tractor once.. can't do that with a kiddie pool..

for baby ducks, I drape a rubber welcome mat over the side so they can climp in and out easily.. I do not let the babies swim unattended, however..

I once had a guinea keet fall in while trying to drink. she swam like a duck.. I had to save her though..
