When I checked at lunch I only had my usual daily egg, but there was a bird hanging out in the nest...so maybe..

I've got the flu and I've been in bed for 3 days ( I'm on my phone btw, lol haven't budged ) and I haven't even looked at my bator! I just thought about and looked and theres a mallard !

I'm sorry you have the flu, but congrats on the mallard!

MB, our weather here is crazy. It was 70 degrees and perfect all weekend. Monday and Tuesday, it turned cold, and we got 4 inches of rain. Today it is 60 degrees and beautifully sunny. Tomorrow they're calling for 6 inches of SNOW. This weekend it's supposed to be in the 60s and sunny again. And next Tuesday the forecasted HIGH temp is only 15 degrees plus more snow.

At least it's not boring old 78 degrees and sunny all the time like Red's weather.

It's all worth having the flu! Because I so would had helped it hatch and accidently killed it! Lol

It was a mallard egg, but it's all brown with a gold stripe down it's back and under its wings! What on earth is it!?

Goodness... Brooster I am surprised that you are not as sick as poor BantamWhisperer ( I hope you get better soon.) With weather that weird there should be a lot of people sick. Take care.

Your kids should be amazed... and now you can tell the kids.. "see the girls do what I say and now so should you.... or its the pot for you... "

Just kidding. But they should be amazed. Sounds like you have some great weather... right now we are still a little cold here in Sunny California. About in the 50's and we do have some winds. That makes it a little tough to do things here. About 15 mph winds with some gusts in the 20's... not too bad for now. It has slowed down a lot. A nice hot chocolate with some rum or chocolate liquor would be great after all the work you will be doing Melabella... I hope you don't have to big of an area to shovel.

Sorry your sick BantamWhisperer the flu sucks my 10 yr old had it, woke up with it New Years day. He too was in bed for 3 days only got up to go potty.
Melabella how is your son and his frat brothers all doing?

Weather has been crappy here too. It snows but doesn't stick just leaves every thing all wet then it drops down into the mid 20's at night and up to the high 50's during the day. My girls have all been in their coop not out getting what little sunlight they can. I let the free range for a while yesterday just to get them out side. I think that my be the key I got an egg today. It's been 4 days since my last egg.
