Any one want to join me in waiting for eggs, posting and comparing notes?

you can buy one of those metal diffuser plates, I had one in my old stove when we lived down on Long Island. You can also put them on a cookie sheet for a bit maybe, or even just a sauce pan or skillet. You are right though.. trade off..lol
I am saving my eggshells and crushing them when they dry out but haven't fed them to the chickens yet. I wonder why that article you quoted from didn't include feeding them back their shells. I had been putting my eggshells in the compost pile but the chickens found that and were eating the eggshells so I stopped adding them there and clean them all up. They looked too close to the real thing. My SIL said to put them in the hole when you plant your tomato transplants. Too late for that now but I might stuff them alongside anyway.

I guess I need to look for those old metal diffuser plates. I remember those years ago when I was a kid.

Happy weekend everyone! The husbands off helping our son on some home remodeling, and I'm kind of in limbo this am :( I really wish it would warm up a little so I can go out and plant the peas, and fence off the garden area. We are right now at 36 and at least the winds have stopped! I have blooms on my Thunder plum trees!!! Azeleas also starting! Maybe it's a day to head to Silverdale and do some summer clothes shopping for the trip :) Wishing all many eggs and soon to be eggs real soon!

Have a great day everyone! I am picking up my first born from the train at 3pm, I can't wait!! I have missed him so badly, ,his spring break at University of Delaware is super late. He is such a wonderful loving son, I am so happy that I have him in my life!
Here he is working at the racetrack this summer with one of the horses getting ready to cool out after a bath and workout.

XO to all!

Great looking young man, MB. Bet his social calendar is full. What is he studying, not prying, just curious?

MB, your son is a handsome kid. Enjoy his break!

My boy is off at a track meet today. Hopefully, it'll be a little warmer than it has been. My day should be pretty quiet and relaxing. I'm planning to spend it knitting, watching basketball, and playing with the new chicks.

Speaking of knitting, I'm not sure why my website link isn't working. Try it this way:

Oh no, I don't think you are prying! I posted his picture, lol,,, I'm sure he would love that. Thank you for the compliment! Yes, he does have quite the social calendar, he and his girlfriend look like supermodels, but then again, I'm biased...lol. He is 6'2" as well,, long and lanky.. so precious.

He is marketing major, with a minor in International business. He is going to take it and run right back to the racetrack like his foolish parents! lol... it's in his blood. a program he want's to apply to after graduating requires you be a college graduate, so I guess it won't be for nothing. He wants to go into bloodstock work, importing horses from Europe. The world is his oyster right now, so young, and so full of promise. What is that famous saying... "Youth is wasted on the young". I try my best to give him the tools,, up to him now to use them.

Definitely precious. That's what I was wondering, the taking after his foolish parents thingy (okay, I didn't say foolish first).

I always find it interesting what direction kids take in school.
