Any other breeders who thread test sex of eggs using black thread on a needle?

Also...I don’t use a needle...U can use any form of small metal, in instance, I use a screw, test it on yourself then the opposite sex I’m telling u it picks up on our different magnetic fields....my kids love doing this part with me.
Changing the metal that attracts to the magnetism in the egg does not change the outcome. So in theory is pointless since I don't wear jewelry aside from my wedding ring. Do you look in theirror when something gets in your eye. Of course. Why do I need a mirror. It seems like a battle to be a member here and those who got a positive attitude from a post are attacked by those of you who have no life. Going to the 900 square foot chicken house to clean. More later. I did want to tell the one poster I will do a video in about a month. I'll put it on my YouTube. Got to get my coffee before the lynching. I'll bring the bbq sauce.

I’m confused. Is this about me...or....cuz I just am supporting the OP hahahahha

@Star silkies I found this online

There is no reliable way for the average home hatcher to tell the difference between an egg that will hatch a female chick and an egg that will hatch a male chick. In-ovo DNA testing and spectroscopy are being developed for certain applications, but most of us don't have this technology readily available at home!

Instead, there are lots of old wives' tales out there, most of which have to do with the shape of the egg or which way a string swings when you hold it above an egg. In most cases, you will find that in one area of the country someone will swear that round eggs hatch hens, and in another, it is sworn that round eggs hatch roosters. Each "side" will have people who will tell you how many times they have been able to do this successfully (or that they "know" someone who can do it successfully), but the truth is that no scientific study has ever been able to replicate these results.

I got that section of an article from someone who tried it out themselves and proved it was fake...

Gosh this thread is glorious

My understanding of dowsing has always been that certain individuals have a gift for it.

I know with water dowsing some have described it as an affinity between the branch and the underground water but Ive also have heard it explained as way for the dowsed to bypass their conscious mind and gain access to things they know intuitively.

By that explanation it does not matter one bit what object or material is used for the pendulum rod or string.

The movement is considered to be an amplification of subtle signals from the users hand not a magnetic connection between the pendulum/rod and object being tested.

I have tried dowsing for the gender of eggs and had totally useless result. But if the method is useless or I’m just a not skilled at it can’t be determined.

Clearly @MommaHen1996 & @Star silkies find it useful. Perhaps the statistics has favored them or perhaps they have an ability others lack.
