Any other breeders who thread test sex of eggs using black thread on a needle?

My understanding of dowsing has always been that certain individuals have a gift for it.

I know with water dowsing some have described it as an affinity between the branch and the underground water but Ive also have heard it explained as way for the dowsed to bypass their conscious mind and gain access to things they know intuitively.

By that explanation it does not matter one bit what object or material is used for the pendulum rod or string.

The movement is considered to be an amplification of subtle signals from the users hand not a magnetic connection between the pendulum/rod and object being tested.

I have tried dowsing for the gender of eggs and had totally useless result. But if the method is useless or I’m just a not skilled at it can’t be determined.

Clearly @MommaHen1996 & @Star silkies find it useful. Perhaps the statistics has favored them or perhaps they have an ability others lack.

My Grandpa used to tell me if a pregnant dog eats grass a few days before giving birth they were mostly female, when the pups were born there was 1 male and 5 females!

That is really cool! Sadly my female eats grass every day. I have no idea why, maybe she's trying to go vegan on me? Her last litter was 3boys 1girl

But it works though...I hatched 8 chicks before this way, one rooster, and 7 hens....I will take pics of the quail eggs with their boy girl marks, and keep u guys updated. They are due to hatch...any day now.

What breed(s) are the chicks? How old are they?

Test it on someone around you that’s the opposite sex, then on yourself, it’s crazy shocking.

That isn’t a reliable test, as you won’t be able to stop yourself from subconsciously moving the thread to create the expected outcome.
