Any other breeders who thread test sex of eggs using black thread on a needle?

Thank you to those who posted to my thread. I think it is important to compare methods. Especially when you have a no kill hatchery like my husband and I operate. Several method are being used with great success. Science is an important tool. Without it you would not have tv radio automobiles,. and much more. It is also very important to respect the wonderful diversity in our world. Then all are welcomed, and indeed loved! I will develop a video soon using my incubator eggs and the needle test. We will see how valid it is. I won't be culling precious rooster babies. I am vegetarian. I like eggs and dairy. I don't like to torture animals. I am against the inhumane shredding of baby chicks. So any technique that is bringing me the right results is valid. Thanks to every kind hearted participant in my thread. Keep responding as you find this. I need to get off here now I go to my cancer specialist at 2 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. I better rest. I'll need it.

I think this is interesting, and if you believe in it, then go for it. You should conduct an expeiriment ,and post it here, where you do this method to 10 eggs, record the predictions, then when they hatch, use leg bands and send in a dna test to test accuracy. that will give results as close to 100% as possible. I am completely a 100% no-hate person, so I fully and truly support you, I do believe others on here are being a little rude.but let them have their opinions, and let it be. it is their time wasted, not yours:D:D:D:D:D

How many times have you done this, or have you just started doing it recently? Do you have chicks that you did this on and all of them turned out female?
I use this all the time in conjunction with other methods of determining the sex of eggs where they are not easily determined by shape. I would regret especially if I sent a customer an order of hatching eggs and most were roosters. But I do have breeding stock now which I tested and they were correctly identifies. Even eggs I bought from other breeders who are npip certified I check with the needle after I first attempted the egg shape method. Chat later. No more tonight.

I think this is very interesting. I’d also like to think of myself as a strictly scientific person, however what humans know about life is but a drop in the ocean, so I’m always open to everything that is no yet proven false to be a potential future science. And so I’m definitely interested in seeing this tested and the results shared!

...where they are not easily determined by shape.
That one's been pretty well debunked.

Still curious about how you set up this needle test.
Is the thread/needle on a stationary mount set on an immovable table,
to eliminate any movement other than the 'life force'...
...and the egg is placed under it?
How far from the egg is the tip of the needle?
Does the egg need to be in a certain orientation,
vertical(fat or small end up?) or horizontal?

As far as debunking goes I have not been wrong, the times I used this. I am looking for others who do this with success. Ty but I don't have further time for arguments.

Well, at least a "clever" way to raise interest in your hatching egg selling business.
