any pet rat folks out there?

Yep, we finally only have one rat (ConchRepublic posted a pic of him). We use to have like 20-30 at one point...Mullet is the best pet rat ever. ANYONE can handle him, I even have had my younger siblings hold him with no problems.

We didn't buy him that big LOL. He was a medium sized male when we bought him from the pet store

The only problem is that he either has a bad bad case of dander or mites

I love rats! I had one as a teenager, and he was the sweetest thing! He'd just sit on my shoulder, and hang out with me. After he passed away, I got another one. I decided on female, and she was an a-hole. So after her, I was done. This year for my birthday, since I haven't shut up about getting a rat (or chickens), my fiance got me 2 baby rats! Kyle, and Rupert. They are turning out more and more like my first one everyday! Kyle is buds with one of my cats, and is very curious and loves his treats! Rupert likes being handled, but he's a lot more timid than Kyle.

my rat loves playing in my hair (i tease my hair so i guess thts a reason)
and he loves playing in my hood on my hoodie and sitting on my shoulder when im on the computer lol
he doesnt really play in his ball..just kinda sits there

i decided this time i would only get two, so i could be sure i would have enough time for each of them, so ive been lookin around in all the usual places (large pet stores) because i like to adopt the most needy critters, but then i got to thinkin, shouldn't i support the most responsible pet stores/breeders? so on 4/4/10 i stopped at pet town in belfair Washington, knowing that this was a great pet store that CARED for the critters in its care and checked out their "rodent" section, well of course they had a bunch of cute rats, a lone male, two lone females and of course two PERFECTLY bonded young males!!! brothers!
