My educated guess that it is a him. That is a domesticated bird. Most likely from a White Dove Release business. Odd there is no band on him. In a perfect world I would gladly take him off your hands. Alas I live in Canada. Hope you find him a home! He may be just disorientated and exhausted. Feed him some mixed bird feed and he may depart on his own if he is not injured once he gets his strength back.
Other than saying that the feed and vitamins I gave her were similar to what she used and that the bird looked to be in very good shape, but the cage had been much too small.
I'm hoping to run into her again at the next auction I make it to since she said she usually comes down. She keeps chickens as well. I'd like to know how Athena is doing.
good to know, and thanks for showing the love for her as well, as most chicken fanciers oddly hate pigeons.. especially in my area, as was scolded for asking and posting in my local group about pigeons, but others post about and sell ducks, geese, guinae ect for all other types of birds, and rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, horses ect for other animals ect. so was wondering why the big differance in affection for our feathered friends???
