Any possibility this is a pullet? Pretty please...

Wow...this is what I refer to as my "suspicious" ones LOL. Kinda rooish kinda pulletish.

I had one like this who got to POL before I knew for sure.

The comb is throwing me off. It is more pronounced but not as pink as it could be. I am going to lean on the side of roo and hope it's a pullet

She's a pullet!

You can't look at sickle feathers because she's too young to have them and as for combs, some EE pullets do have a 3 row comb, the combs are just smaller and develop later than the EE cockerels with 3 row pea combs. What gives her away as a pullet is her feather coloring/patterning - EE cockerels that are black & white are not patterened like she is (I'm not sure if what it's called, but I recognize it).

I'm saying pullet too. I have an EE who kept me guessing like that for a long time. She has a very upright look to her with a long tail and she also had an early pale comb. Don't lose hope until she crows!

I'll be waiting and watching. She's a friendly little character and I still think she will be very pretty.

Thanks for all the opinions!

I dunno...I have a little 7 week old with a very similar color pattern to this one and its definitely a roo. By 4 weeks his peacomb was already dark pink and now at 7 weeks he is practicing his scales, preparing for his grand announcement

When I look at him from the back he looks just like a pullet.

Mary, dontcha just love the waiting game?

It's his wing carriage that confirms roo for me. Yes, the comb screams roo but the coloring doesn't yet. However, that wing up on his back is how I picked out all 5, yes 5 (of 6) of my EE roos last year.

I noticed it has wattles (which most EEs don't have) and lack of muffs/beard (which most EEs do have) - is it an EE mix (EE with other type of chicken) or EE bred to EE?
