Any professionals out there?

Fellow BYC members, what do you do for a living? Any professionals out there or are most people ranchers or farmers?

I have been teaching in a public high school for 7 years, and currently coordinate a district-wide reading program. I am a year away from getting my master's degree, and will be pursuing a Ph.D. after that.

I am definitely a professional. Perhaps a TECHNICAL professional, but nonetheless a professional.

My major expertise is Public Safety Communications, for close to 35 years. First as a police, fire, EMS dispatcher, a 9-1-1 dispatcher, a 9-1-1 Center supervisor, then Manager, and now I am a Telecommunications Systems Analyst II, dealing with the nuts/bolts of telephone (9-1-1 included) and radio systems.

Chickens are my salvation.
