Any Rabbit Breeders/Owners Here at BYC?

Questions:
1) How many rabbits do you own? We have 2

2) How long have you had rabbits? Or Rabbit? Brand new owners, just got them in August

3) What's your top favorite breed? I don't have a favorite, but my husband wants to get into New Zealands

4) Why did you get your rabbit(s)? My granddaughter has asked for a pet rabbit that she can't keep at home

5) (If you breed (or have bred in the past) Why did you start (or stop) breeding rabbits?

6) What's your rabbit(s) name(s)? Snickers (tan one) and Bandit (black one)

7) What breed(s) are/is your rabbit(s)? Snicker is a Rex/New Zealand mix and Bandit we have no idea. She looks like a Netherland Dwarf.

8) Why did you choose the breed you did? My friend had these available

Also Bandit is very stand-offish. She does not like to be held and will do everything she can to keep you from picking her up. She will even growl. Both bunnies were 4 weeks old when we got them. Any ideas is greatly appreciated!
Many bunnies do not like to be picked up or held and that is ok. They can still be well socialized and affectionate in other ways. My bun loves being petted but does not tolerate being held. She likes to sit next to me or at my feet while I pet her. I would suggest not trying to hold Bandit. Instead try sitting on the floor with your rabbits. If they are feeling comfortable and secure, with all four feet on the ground, they will be more likely to let you pet or play with them. Do they like greens or treats? Associating you, petting, and food can help build trust.

Thanks! They love carrots so I have been going out and holding the carrot for her and she does come to eat it from my hand. Its a start!

One of my rabbits Maple loves scratches and being pet all over her buddy. As soon as you lift her though the literal claws come out. We stick to a head/ear massage before hay in the mornings. We both seem happy with that arrangement.

Holy shizzle sticks.
So that's probably going to be at least a hundred floofers.

Do you think they will all be born within the same week?
If so I'm a road trip to your house.
@ColtHandorf Can meet me there.
Actually right now only two does are bred. Some of them will be bred later in the year, as they are still youngsters. Once the NDs and Havanas are bred I'll get prolly 8 from the Havana girls and 3-5 from the NDs. Since breeding season has only just begun I'll have a couple litters. They add up fast.

I don't see pictures. :old :old :old
1) I currently only own 2 retired breeders. I've had so many more at one point. And plan to get more eventually.

2) 5 years.

3) Holland Lops.

4) I had always wanted some, and my family surprised me with my very first one on my bday years ago.

5) I wanted too. I love baby animals, especially baby buns. I'm "taking a break" from breeding for personal reasons.

6) Pumpkin and Oreo.

7)Netherland Dwarves

8) It was the only breed available to me at the time.

I'll post pics in a bit.

I love Pumpkin's fat neck!

Thanks. :DIt's actually called a dewlap. All does will have it after they've had they're 1st litter.
When I was a teenager, I had two Rex bucks and my sister had a Rex doe. Her name was Sonja and she had the biggest dewlap ever! After we got them, any person that had a double chin we would call it a "Sonja Chin"

You should get a friend for Treb...

Is Treb going to get a fat neck too or do just girls get fat ones?
