Only girls get dewlaps. They pull fur out of their dewlaps to make their nests.

Normally just does, but i've heard of bucks getting small ones, that is if they're VERY fat.

They also pull the hair out of their tummies. I love watching mammas make nests, I had an opal rex that would practically go bald making the Taj Mahal of all nests.

I find it quite enjoyable.

I watched the movie a couple years ago. I didn't like it. It was very depressing. Maybe the book is better though.
