Any robotics enthusiasts out there?

I'm trying to help my kids with their LEGO robot (3rd and 4th grade) and while I can find my way around the programming language -- I need help! Anybody out there familiar with the NXT software and what it can or cannot do? HELP? Please?

That's their own support page, so if anyone could help...
