I'm heading to garden city the first week of august and I want to do some fishing. What are the laws for me to surf fish in front of our beach house? Any tips for what to fish for that time of year?

You might get some fish but you might not the water temp. is over 80 near shore. The best temp. is 64-78 . If you go off shore you will have better luck .
