Society for Creative Anachronism, that is.

I was just curious, since a lot of Scadians are into DIY activities, and it doesn't get more DIY than raising your own livestock.

I'm not an SCA member, but I have done Renaissance Faires in the past. I used to go quite regularly while in college.

Sorry, I don't have any pics of me in my garb.

I have gone to a few gatherings in the past. Quite a few of my friends are into SCA. Friends sell pottery at Pennsic. DH & I don't seem to find the time anymore...

I made quite a few costumes for my daughter who belonged to Miami University's SCA. I really enjoyed watching the sword fights and the dancing. I'm into Revolutionary war era reenacting.

Not a member but the SCA sets up this HUGE battle thing walking distance from my inlaws. They do the battle across the street and everything- in Portersville, PA!

Yep, just restarted as the boy is old enough for sports, and his idea os "sport" is "wacking people with a sword".

I'm so proud.

I had a period wedding gown, and for a wedding gift my husband bought us matching swords (I wanted pearls, and a few guests were sure I was gonna impale him over dessert.
