Also, pinless peepers would also be helpful but try other things first before you use them

That makes sense I didn’t think about that the calcium but my girls have started laying good again but we are coming into an insane cold spell so that might change.I would just feed the starter and offer oyster shell on the side, most birds don't lay very much on winter so they don't need the extra calcium in layer feed rn and too much calcium is bad for their health
Perhaps hang a cabbage up for them? That might give them something else to pick at. I think there are also products you can apply to make her feathers taste bitter (pick no more I think is one?), how effective they are varies though
You can still give them chick starter (or an all flock) as long as they have oyster shell on the side. That's how I feed my flock of layers year round. Benefits of that is there's no need to switch feeds based on age or laying status as everyone can eat all flock. It also has more protein than layer feedThat makes sense I didn’t think about that the calcium but my girls have started laying good again but we are coming into an insane cold spell so that might change.
I’ll look into products just a ways away from the nearest place that supplies chicken stuff. Might try amazon.
I’ve never heard of chewy. I’ll have to check. I’m in Canada so we may not have it but I’m all for something cheaper that will come to my door. You can still give them chick starter (or an all flock) as long as they have oyster shell on the side. I'd also try chewy as they have a good variety of stuff for chickens and they're often cheaper than Amazon. I order my girls' food from there and it gets shipped right to my door
