Any Success On Hatching Double Yolks?

There are quite a few threads on here of people asking/doing the same thing. The answer is that it is quite rare for the egg to hatch successfully. What usually happens is that one embryo dies because the other takes over and the nutrients are given to the stronger one. Once the other embryo dies, it infects the remaining one with bacteria and kills it. Can it be done? Yes, but it is not recommended as the risks are very high. Best to stick with healthy single yolks, IMHO.

I do not hatch out chicks, but have read about double yolk eggs.
Most that I read, stated that, not very good success.
Usually one chick would die or both.
Also the size of chicks were very small relative to the other hatched chicks. Chicks or chick, had a difficult time thriving.
If you do succeed the chicks will be fraternal twins rather than I identical.
They may look identical to you as close as the other eggs that also hatch.
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:
