the last ducklings i hatched were all black and they all had good bibs i was impressed. i will try to get some better pictures but im babysitting my cousin today the cutest 2 yo ever but she is a handful so when she takes a nap and i get mom to watch her for a minute ill get some individuals.

I think the best are hen 1 and hen 4. They both have fairly good bibs. I do like #1 better though because she doesnt have any white in her face.

But I like the legs of #4 better, there is barely any orange at all in them

I like 4 the best. She has the best markings and sadly, that is what judges award the most. I say sadly becasue I think body is too often ignored in the breed. Next best is 1. I would take her as well. She has a nice body and adequate markings. I don't mind the dark spot, but I like to see a crisper line to the bib. 3 has nice body type, but her bib is simply too big and has too much blue in it. Last is 2. She looks a bit long and lean for the breed type and her bib is too small.

I'd definitely take 4 and 1. (And try to find some quality splashes to cross those nice blacks with!)

i had a splash drake but the neighbors dog decided he need a snack so..... that was the plan to make better blues with him. but im taking all 4 to the show now that ive heard the pros and cons of my birds thanks guys so much.
