I've never worried about my ratios with free-range guineas. I have several males with the females and have never even thought to get rid of some roos. There's no overbreeding or fighting (albeit some chasing, but it's just what they do sometimes).
If I had to make a choice with a flock of 10, I'd keep 3 roos with 7 hens.
