Can anybody help me out my wife & I are attempting to build a chicken coop and we're looking for some chicken wire. Were needing about 10-12 ft long and 10-12 wide if anybody has any to spare can you please let me know. Thank you very much.

Chicken wire is OK for keeping chickens in ... but not keeping critters that like to eat chickens OUT! Chicken wire is very thin and easy to break, and only twisted together ... welding thicker wires together is much stronger.

Depending on where you plan to use it it ... for a run I'd suggest 1"X3" 14 gauge "welded wire" however tall you want ... for a coop ... 1/2" 19 gauge "hardware cloth" ...

Should be available at a farm/feed type store ... possibly a building supply store ... or hardware store ...

Call around ... buy once, cry once!

agree, we even wrapped the chicken wire twice around and rats, mice even squirrels have gotten in the coop (not sure how!) but hardware cloth is a savior!! we moved our food bowls to the day pen, which is fully wrapped in hc and safe, even at night! DayPen.jpg
