Any tricks to catch a chicken?

I have a roo I am giving to someone later today. He is 18+ weeks old. I am concerned I am going to have a heck of a time catching him to give to her... Hi is in a run that is about 18'x20'... Any ideas? Tricks of the trade?

Might try a net. If you have another person you can usually get him in a corner & grab him or wait till dark & snatch him off the roost.

I put the girls out and cornered mine in the coop. Then trapped him under a clothes basket.

or wait til time to roost then just go pick him up off the roost, no chasing involved

I love my fishing net! I also try treats and then scoop with my net! In general I also have a call when I feed them so they want to be near me with that call.
