no, just have the lavender and pearl gray. We mostly think they are pretty good birds to have around, but I guess since this is the first time with guinea eggs around the aggression has just reared it's ugly head

Is the article on aggression? The only article I could find on guineas was the one about trying to get them admitted to APA

The best way to sex adult guineas is check the pelvic arch. Pick up the guinea and hold it right side up, run your hand down the keel toward the vent, the keel will end, keep going over the stomach, before you get to the vent you will feel the pelvic bones. In the male they will be close together - you can barely get one finger between them. The female will be much wider two or three fingers wide. Think about it, she has to be wider to pass the egg.

This is our first dealing with guineas, We have 15 eggs in the bator and I have no clue as what to do. I have been reading every post I can find on the subject and have gotten alot of info here. Thanks to all. Eggs are just in bator on 5/18. I love guineas and hope all the eggs hatch.

Ok, now I have a new question about the guineas. For the most part, the chicks are all the stripy brown and rust color...but I have a few with beautiful white faces...also, I got one gray colored one. Sorry, but this is my very first time with guineas, but my question is, what are the names for these colors?

Yes, there are several different colors of guinea fowl. Sexing adults is easiest by their sounds, as the helmets and wattles are hard to determine, at least for me.

I'm lucky though, the ones I have can be sexed by color at birth, almost 100% sure
