Just recently came across a young lad who has a trio of buff laced wyandotte and a pair of blue laced wyandotte and we came to an agreement that we for his 5 wyandottes I swapped 5 young rare show birds 1 ayam cermani pair of rir and 3 bantam bramhas
So just wondering if anyone else would like to talk about there experience with wyandottes

I only have 1, a little gold laced bantam. I was after more but they've been rather hard to come by out my way. My girl is gorgeous. Very sweet tempered & easily handled.

I have a gold laced Wyandotte, she’s not my friendliest chicken, but lets me handle her when I need to either bathe and blow dry her or medicate her. I really like her because she gets along well with others and she is very quiet.

She runs around the pen like there's a fire 24/7, she makes the funniest noises that sound nothing like clucks, but she is a great hen to have. she makes us laugh a lot. to make matters even weirder.... her name is Jimmothina:lol:

I love my blue wyandotte, she's a big fluffy sweetheart. She didn't start laying until 42 weeks. Yes, that was 10 months of waiting! And now she wants to be broody and plucked all her feathers off her belly, but I can't let her hatch anything because I don't have a rooster and I can't have more birds where I live. I think wyandottes would make great moms though.

Except it doesn't seem like a good trade for you. I would think your ayam cemani alone might be worth all the wyandottes (even if buff laced). Are they for showing? What about your own rare show birds? Maybe availability is different where you are. I'm still not sure trading 11 of your birds for only 5 of theirs is fair.

I swapped 5 see the ayam cermani is a rooster and he bought a hen hen way back of me but we my ayam cermani have been doing por this year whatever happened there goes are turning whits on the chicks even tho ths adults are black so it brings the price way down plus I have all the birds that I really want so in a way he prob got a better deal but it's just super hard to get these birds of decent standered where I live and I swapped 5 birds for his 5 birds

I used to have 2 female gold laced wyandotte and when they seen me coming one would do a lap around the field and then come right up to my left and run itself against me like it was a little cat
