i just floated one in water at 100f like someone said on here it floated and almost did little bounces on the sufarce of the water so im guessing their live still and hopeing their live still.them eggs were only 99p dont know what that is where you are,some still showing dark blood vessels but shadow nearly running from bottom to top of egg

Just for the Americans, one point to remember is that not everyone refrigerates their eggs, I can't speak for the UK, but in Ireland in the late 90s, eggs were kept stacked on the floor in a big, non-refrigerated, corner. So the concept that the eggs were placed IMMEDIATELY into a fridge is actually pretty heavily biased towards the US. My flatmates (Irish and French) thought I was a loon when I took up fridge space (it was tiny) with my eggs. I quickly learned better.

I'm surprised that the caged hens had access to roos, but.. Sounds like they did!

I have picked up from here that if your incubator is a still air, that 100 might be a bit low, so it might take a day or so extra and that might be where the delay is coming from.

I can't imagine a caged hen producing fertile eggs but maybe when they say caged, they mean something a bit different than we are use to thinking about. Maybe they are caged with a roo? I can't wait to hear how it goes. Also, I live in a rural community and we do have a Super Walmart but they sell eggs from local people too. They are refrigerated though. But I have bought the "Farm Fresh" eggs and when cracking them open, they appear to have been fertile. So I am guessing some store bought eggs come from farms and are fertile. Maybe the issue that is hanging us up is the fact that these were supposed to come from caged hens. And like I said, that could mean something entirely different where she is. I am a bit concerned about her humidity being that high? She said 85-87% until day 18 and then 90%. That is high. So that may have caused a problem when they started to pip into the air cell. They could drown. I hope all goes well though. Keep us posted.

reptileluvva-I am sorry you thought I was calling you a liar, that was not my intention atall. I was simply trying to get more info in order to get a better idea of what the situation is. There are so many very knowledgable people on here but we just needed some basic facts in order to answer your question and that was the point of me asking you all those questions. But you answered them all and now we know you did your research and seem to have done things right. I don't think there is anything else you should do I think we all just have to wait and see if any hatch. and PLEASE post pictures for us if they do... we all love chick pictures. I say leave them in there for atleast a few more days, unless they start to smell. GOOD LUCK

you don't know me as such but i posted a topic on byc about my eggs,you seemed interested and you were the only on that had an email.1 hatched and another 1 coming on the way in few hours i think i cannot post or reply to anyones posts i was going to upload pics,
but it wont let me log in anymore it says username and password not recognised but they were the ones i was using until an hour after signing in.when it wouldnt.i have asked for password after password still no luck it dosent work.created another account it dosent work either,emailed administrator heard nothing emailed them 4times incase message didnt send for some reason.
